I stayed for a night at a transit hotel at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. The next morning, I went back to Terminal 3 Ultimate for my Garuda Indonesia’s domestic flight to Yogyakarta. As I did not get any lounge access, I had brunch (and actually for dinner too the evening before) at a Bakmi GM stall. I mean, while I was in Jakarta! Haha πŸ˜€

Anyway, today’s flight was quite exciting because … it would be operated with PK-GFN, aka one of Garuda Indonesia’s retro jets! Haha πŸ˜€

But unfortunately that was pretty much the extent of the excitement, though; as PK-GFN also happened to be one of Garuda’s Boeing 737-800 which had gone through the densification project last year. It meant: much tighter seats, even in their “Extra Legroom” rows! Plus the reduction in the quality of snack service on this route (with ticket price set at the 100% upper limit fare cap) πŸ™„.

Anyway, I (finally) got to attend my dad’s one year memorial, which, to me personally, feel really good and glad that I could make it. I also renewed my Indonesian driving license before its expiry later on this year. It turned out it had been almost five years since my last renewal! Obviously I don’t use this driving license often, though (only when I am in Indonesia), but even then, it feels like a pity to let it expire! Haha πŸ˜€ . Btw, I also just learned that the Indonesian driving license had a new design!

Other than that, as usual, I did not go to any of the tourist attractions in Yogyakarta, haha. I spent most of time there with my family and friends. Though, at one point I convinced my friends to go to a cafe in Mangkubumi so that at least I could take a touristy picture with the Tugu Jogja. A little bit of a change for awhile! Haha πŸ˜†

So, all in all, my stay in Yogyakarta was pleasant as always. While I did not go to any of the tourist attractions, it’s not like we always have to go to tourist attractions to spend our time on a vacation, no?
