#955 – (Almost) New Semester

ENGLISH

First of all, I want to say “Happy Lebaran” to all people who celebrate it.

Btw, I think I already mentioned this last year: Eid is not celebrated here in the Netherlands. Even, there is no official day offs in the calendar for it. And many people here do not even know what Eid is. So, if you plan to come here during this occasion, do not expect Eid to be celebrated like in Indonesia๐Ÿ™‚.

Well, because Eid is not celebrated here, it means that these days are still normal days here. However, apparently, the studying week of TU Delft will just officially start next week. So, even though there is no Eid holiday now, currently I am also still in a holiday: the last week of my summer break!๐Ÿ˜€ Plus, because of this year’s edition of Masters Kick Off (MKO) of my faculty, there will be no class next week, i.e, all classes will start in two weeks! huahahaha๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜Ž.

But actually that makes no difference though. I am only planning to take one class this semester (later in the second quarter, I will take another class). So, whether it starts next week or the week after that does not really make too much of difference for me. Besides, I still have a project to be done by mid September. So, with or without a break this week, I still have to work on this project this week and next week to meet the deadline. Yeah, this is how it feels like to study in TU Delft: as a non-new student, even the week before official lectures start, you already get something to work on!๐Ÿ™„

Speaking of new semester, I think a lot of new students have arrived here in Delft (obviously as they already had their introduction week last week). I started to recognize it today as it affected the practicality of my life a little bit: there were more bikes in the bike parking area of my apartment! Which translated to: it was more difficult to get a parking spot for my bike! hahaha๐Ÿ˜›

Currently full bicycle parking area in my apartment!

BAHASA INDONESIA

Namun, ternyata, minggu efektifnya TU Delft baru mulainya minggu depan loh.

  2. Which translated to: it was more difficult to get a parking spot for my bike! hahaha

    >> serius bok? nyari parkir buat sepeda aja susye? wow kamu harus cobain sebulan kuliah di Universitas Kristen Petra yah, hahaha… bisa stresssss tiap hari nyari parkir! everyday for 8 semesters!๐Ÿ˜† untung pas jaman ngampus dulu, aku mah pake supir ya. jadi gak bingung nyari parkir,…. (baca: supir angkot)๐Ÿ˜†

    1. ho oh, jadi lebih rame gitu, tapi pasti dapet parkir sih Bu, wkwkwkwkw๐Ÿ˜† Hahaha, kalo universitas di Indo sih emang banyak ya mahasiswa yang ke kampus pake kendaraan sendiri. Di Unpar juga gitu, haha. Untung dulu kos deket kampus jadi ke kampus ya jalan kaki aja deh, hahahhaa.
